How is the Carnival Funded

The Nottingham Carnival receives money from a diverse range of sources. This includes the Arts Council of England,  Tuntum Housing Association, sponsors and advertisers, stallholders and the invaluable contribution of the Carnival goers through the entry fee.

In an ideal world we would love to stage a totally free event. However, as costs continue to rise each year this is never enough to pay for everything.

The entry fee is always related to the cost of running the event, which has always been run at break-even or at a loss.

This is why this year we are charging £6 for entry to the site. However, entry is free for under 12s and the colourful Carnival Parade continues to be free to watch and starts at 2 pm.
